The Path of the Gods

The Path of the Gods begins just outside our B&B. It runs for about 6 Km to the village of Agerola, along which you can enjoy breath-taking views resulting from the blending of history and nature.

Along the way are many natural caves, the rocky buildings typical of the Amalfi Coast and the famous ‘Calcare’, traditional kilns in which limestone was produced, still in use up to the 1950s. There were around thirty ‘calcare’ in the region as limestone was in great demand for the building industry, but it was also used to whiten hemp and as a disinfectant measure. Today you can only see two of these cone-shaped stone buildings, one along the Path of the Gods and the other in Nocelle at the beginning of the original pathway running along Vallone Porto.
